It's been a terrible week! The 4 day holiday weekend gave way to way too much eating and drinking leniency that carried on for too long. I really was trying to be good and was on Friday. But Saturday's cheat day just kept going. I skipped some meals altogether.
On top of that, I got no training in this week. Which in turn affects my sleep. So all in all, not a healthy week all the way around. I think I only got about 2 or 3 hours of sleep last night.
We'll see what the damage is tomorrow, but as of this morning, I am up 3 pounds in about 3 weeks (I need to record some weigh ins). It feels like a whole lot more than that. I just feel bloated.
My goal is get back on track. I don't think I really deserve a cheat day, so I probably won't and just do it next weekend. Although I will probably partake in some adult beverages at the pool this weekend.
Speaking of which, I'm taking my boyfriend down to Atlanta Speedway and we are going to drive Nascars! How fun is that?

Wahoo! Got up and conquered that workout! Well, maybe not conquered, but I did it.
Run 1.23 miles, Walk .41, Bike 5 mi. = 644 kcal in 43 minutes.
Yep, don't mind if I do!
Gonna actually try a day without light cheese. Not fun. I'm actually going to try to see how it is to just wait to have it until the cheat day (Saturday). But I know I will probably revert back after a week or two. I just like my cheese, and it's good for calcium. Right?

Today is not starting out so great. I woke up at 2am and struggled with sleep until getting up finally at about 5:45. I had every intention of getting up this morning to do my first tri workout. I must now muster up the strength to do it when I get home. this is going to be painful. I could do it tomorrow though I suppose since tomorrow's workout is short anyway. I'll wait to see how I feel later.
I need to m ake a decision to fully commit to SCD or to stick with what I am doing for now. It's hard to do now since this week is supposed to be TOM. So my added squeashiness could be attributed to that. The main problem I am having is giving up light cheese. The diet says it's a no no, but I can't understand why. It's the same as eating lean meat, and there is no lactose in it. I eat about 2.5 ounces a day. I suppose I could try to give it up 3 out of the 6 days and see what happens, it's just hard. No fun.
I must also find someplace that has indoor and outdoor swimlanes! This weather lately has been so volatile that you never know when you can swim outside. Looking forward to getting in the water soon.

Happy Monday! Tri training starts officially this week! 14 weeks till the race!
The mri and nerve tests all came back negative. But there is a problem around L5 that we will continue to work on. I got a massage on Friday as well and I think it is really helping to break down the tension in my lower back. I didn't realize how many knots were building up back there!
I'm going to be adopting The Slow Carb diet into my regime. I've been at a plateau for so long, so I figured I would try this. I like the premise, I will eat pretty much the way I have been eating for ever which is avoiding flour and sugar, but will be adding legumes to every meal and a binge/cheat/treat day once a week. I am going to give it a good 8 weeks to see how it goes, hopefully well. I did a practice trial last week, but I don't think I did so great, especially since TOM is supposed to be this week. So it's hard to tell because of the bloat weight. I'm going to be very diligent this week so maybe I can see some real progress by next week. I also did not take advantage of the cheat day. I don't think I ate enough calories. I didn't think it would hard to eat more, I didn't want to eat a bunch of crap though either. I did have sushi, which was delicious! I will have to do some extra planning ahead for next Saturday.
