Since my last weigh in my back went out (which it rarely does) and it set me back 5 - 6 weeks. I saw my Dr and went to physical therapy and now I'm back on track and have a renewed energy to resume improving my health and losing more weight. Don't let setbacks be an excuse to give up, use them to show yourself you are stronger than your cravings.

Everyone into high percentage of carb consumption if it works for you then great. I stated everyone is different. Like most "commercial diets" they cut the carbs hardcore. I did the same. I gave up all refined sugars (carbs), also bread, rice, potatoes, and dairy. 1 cup of milk has as much sugar as 1/2 a Hershey's chocolate bar.
Within 90 days my blood A1C went from 11 to 5.0 and I was off all my insulin meds including daily injections. Also within a year I'd dropped over 140 lbs.
If I ever get the uncontrollable urge to just eat something substantial I will grind down a bunch of protein and fat and still not gain anything, many times my weight would still drop on a daily basis. Yet if I add any significant carbs I gain.
Maybe I'm a freak but it works for me.

I'm glad I haven't gained a bunch of weight back but it still is frustrating when I don't lose any either. I have become comfortable with maintaining a reasonably steady weight yet I do want to start losing again. I've got to put more brain control into the equation.

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO. 4 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! So now my next weigh in will probably say "You gained 1.5 lb since your last weigh in, you fat bastard."
